It is with great sadness that I have to post on this page- my brother Donald Nyberg Hopkins High School class of 1983 passed away on Sunday August 16th. Donny fought a long battle with Cancer - when he was diagnosed in 2014, he was already stage 4 and they did not give him much hope, maybe 18 months at best. But he was a fighter and believed everyday that science would come up with a cure and he was going to live a long healthy life, he stayed positive right up to the end- when a large blood clot in his lung, did what the cancer could not do- take him away from us. He had a heart of gold, always put a positive spin on things and had a laugh we will never forget. Rest In Peace my Brother, your fight is over. His obituary will be in this Sunday’s star tribune
