Saba, Duane A. age 43, of Hopkins, formerly of NE Mpls. Survived by his daughter, Sloan & her mother, Hally; his birth parents, Ron & Barbara; birth brothers, Danny, Daryl; sisters, Monica and Sherrie. He was raised by his grandparents, John & Norma. Grandpa John preceded him in death. He also lived with and was raised by his uncle, Gary and aunt, Gail. The extended brothers and sisters include: Dean, Cory, Connie, Cindy, Ward, Carrie, Joe, Sarah and Cynthia; other survivors include several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends, all who were dear to him. He never fully knew how much he was loved.

I don't know, I must be getting sentimental or something. I recently found out that my old friend, Tim Ebnet died, and I wanted to find out how he left us, and so I stumbled across this web-site, and now I just learned that two of my boxing buddies died too soon, Johnny Everding and Duane Saba... I haven't seen these guys since my sophmore year at Eisenhower, but I remember Duane and Johnny. I had the utmost respect for them during my one and only year at Ike. Duane had an amazing physique and was one hell of a boxer, he once gave me two black eyes down in the athletics locker room. The first time I ever sparred was with Duane, he said, "hey Rob, lets spar." I'll never forget it, I was scared shitless, nearly peed in my pants, and for good reason, Duane had very fast hands, and he got two great jabs that nearly knocked me out ten seconds into the match. I always liked him, and we had some things in common. Thanks for the boxing lesson, Duane. Perhaps we'll meet again and have a rematch.
